Community Orientation

Use the Lake as Your Main Reference Point

Main Lake is the central geographic feature of Lake of the Pines. Most community locations can be understood by identifying whether they are north, south, east or west of the lake.

The clubhouse, marina, pool and principal beach area are grouped near the northwestern side of Main Lake. Parks and residential peninsulas extend around the shoreline, while golf fairways weave through several neighborhood areas.

Major perimeter roads such as Magnolia Road, Combie Road and Darkhorse Drive provide outside orientation, while internal roads connect residents to homes and shared facilities.

This general area includes the Clubhouse, marina, community swimming pool, Main Beach, golf Pro Shop and nearby gathering or recreation facilities.

It is one of the most useful reference points for understanding the community because lake, golf, dining and recreation facilities meet in one general location.

Park Areas Are Positioned Around Different Parts of the Lake

Individual parks can differ in shoreline access, swimming areas, picnic facilities, boat access, restrooms, dog facilities, parking and event use.

Park naming and classification should be confirmed against the latest Association map because current source materials organize the park system in more than one way.
